How The Anti-Doping Database Helped New York Times To Create an Interesting Article using Data

The New York Times approached us ahead of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. They wanted to create an article on athletes banned for an anti-doping rule violation. The result was an interesting article using our data and presenting it using graphs and images.

New York Times is one of the largest news organizations in the world. Their offices are on Manhatten in New York City.

In 2016 they approached the Anti-Doping Database to get data on athletes banned for doping. By using our database and data from other sources, they were able to create a very interesting article on athletes who would participate at the Olympic Summer Games in Brazil that year.

They published names on athletes with a doping past, graphs showing which countries had the most banned athletes. Because they combined data from our database with other olympic databases, they were also able to tell which of the athletes were former Olympic medalists.

The article from 2016 published on the New York Times website is a very interesting read. You can find it here
