New methods in 2013

Most of the samples from the London Olympic Games contained Dehydrochloromethyltestosterone (Oral Turinabol). A new method to detect this substance and the steroid Stanozolol was developed after the Olympic Games in 2012. This caused the number of athletes testing positive for these two drugs to go dramatically up in 2013. For Dehydrochloromethyltestosterone the numbers are 72 cases in 2013. In the year before the number of cases were five. In 2014 and 15 the number of cases involving Dehydrochloromethyltestosterone are less than 20. For Stanozolol the number of cases rose from approximately 100 to 141. Quite a few athletes still tests positive for the steroid.
