WADA-Vice president Helleland wants to become the next WADA-presidentMay 24, 2018
In an interview with BBC the Norwegian politician says she would like to be the next WADA-president when Britain's Sir Craig Reedie steps down in 2019.
- There is a need for change. I would like to be the next president of WADA. The organisation needs more independence, more transparency and more democracy. But it also needs a more equal partnership and right now the perception is that the Olympic movement is the strongest partner. We need to stregthen the role of the government, and I want to do that, she said to BBC.
The Norwegian politician was elected vice-president of WADA in 2016.
